At Legacy Christian Academy (LCA), we believe that music is close to the heart of God and we encourage our students to develop their skills and abilities and to use them to honor the Lord. It is not only designed for our enjoyment, but more importantly, can be used as one of the most effective tools for communicating God’s love, and inspiring all to seek a personal relationship with Him. We also believe that the study of music develops analytical thinking skills, discipline, and teamwork. Music is a life-long activity that enriches the lives of our students, churches, and communities. LCA offers a comprehensive music program from the elementary level all the way through high school.
The Music Department at LCA is one of the strengths of our school. The classes are co-curricular in nature and provide opportunities for students to grow in their faith, to develop their God-given talents, to help build up and encourage our community, and to contribute positively to the overall spirit and environment of our school. Our students have achieved a high level of excellence within our state and region with appearances in State and Regional Honors Choirs and Bands, Solo/Ensemble Contest, All-State Choirs and Bands, and Large Group Contests and Festivals.
