The visual arts are a prevalent form of communication in our world today. Even the earliest marks a child makes are “drawings” of his world on paper. The visual art classes at Legacy seek to help students from Kindergarten through graduating Seniors develop their God-given personal artistic skills, and to understand how their own visual forms of communication influence those around them.
Our classroom projects are designed to teach the foundational concepts of art, to introduce and develop skills with many different mediums, and to weave art history throughout instruction. Each student gains confidence in his/her artistic skill and is encouraged to express himself/herself through art in their own unique way.
We want to encourage each student’s creative side as he/she learns an appreciation of art that lasts a lifetime! Through all this, we learn to observe and appreciate God’s beauty (creation) around us, and to glorify God, because He is the Master Artist!
