Lions fast-pitch softball has made huge strides in the last couple years. Two years ago this was a 3 win team. Last year was a breakout year with 13 wins and section quarter finals for the first time in program history. This year, the sky is the limit. The Lions have already started out the 2013 season 3-0, including a thrilling 5-4 extra innings win against rival Trinity.
The Lady Lions became a close group last year and gelled more and more with each passing game. This year is proving to be no different. The Lions have picked up right where they left off by going 3-0 despite terrible weather and new faces. A number of new promising players have joined the team and are making an impact already. It has been a trying year with half the season left under snow and ice, but the girls are looking to heat the season up in a big way for what remains of the 2013 season.
