As part of the 7th grade Computer Applications course each semester, our students participate in the Minnesota Stock Market Game. As a part of the Stock Market Game, there is an investment essay contest called InvestWrite. This spring, all 7th graders who had Computer Apps wrote essays for a class assignment, and the top essays were submitted to the contest. We were notified that Zachary Olson, LCA 7th grader, took first place in the Middle School state InvestWrite competition! Congratulations, Zachary!

Come join us at our charity food and clothing drive on May 20th 2012 at High Noon at the brand new Coon Rapids Ice Arena. Cheer on your favorite player as the Coon Rapids Police and Fire team “Guns & Hoses” face off against the Legacy Lions Hockey Club in a charity hockey game to raise food and/or clothing for the Anoka County food shelf. Admission to the event will be a donation of a non-perishable food item or items of clothing.
Donations may also be made at both Coon Rapids Cub Foods locations.

All Enrich House students will be involved in this special night on Thursday, May 10 at 6:45 p.m., celebrating what they (5th-8th grade students) are learning. We will begin in the Meadow Creek Church Worship Center, and then break out into different areas for an informative Open House. We’d love to see you there!
All State Men’s Choir – Janson Rudzitis

Janson Rudzitis, a junior at Legacy Christian Academy was chosen from several hundred students who auditioned, state-wide for the Minnesota Music Educator’s Association All-State Men’s Choir. He will be attending music camp to work with one of the finest choral conductors in the country at St. John’s University this summer. The Honor’s Choirs will be performing at the ACDA Convention in August and at the MMEA Convention in February 2013.
In addition, Janson was chosen for the 50th Anniversary American Choral Director’s Association State 11-12 High School Honor Choir to perform November 18. Congratulations to Janson!
“There’s Music in the Air” – Prom

On Saturday, April 14th LCA held their Prom at the TPC in Blaine. The evening began with pictures, a Grand March at The Farmstead, and another Grand March at Meadow Creek Church. After more pictures, 95 LCA students, their guests and chaperones went to TPC to enjoy a delicious dinner and then danced the night away. Great memories for all!
