The kindergarten students selected to support Komeka, an orphan from the Congo, as their Christmas Caring Project. They are thrilled to announce that together they collected $913 dollars to support her, double their goal! The students worked diligently and came up with so many creative ways to earn money for Komeka. Some students created bird feeders and ornaments and asked for donations in their neighborhood. This idea was amazing and created donations of over $400! Three students asked a parent to return a Christmas gift that was meant for them, and gave the money to Komeka. Other students did chores around the house or took money out of their piggy bank savings! We all worked together and God brought in the money. Now, one little girl in the Congo will have food, clothing, schooling, clean water, medicine, and a home to live in. We will be able to support her for 26 months with the money that came in. What a blessing! Thank you, parents, for encouraging your child to be the “hands and feet” of Jesus this Christmas! Please continue to pray for Komeka. We are grateful to be at LCA where we can freely participate in these kinds of Christian giving projects!
