The LCA Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Jon Schultz to Head Boys Soccer Coach for the 2018 season. A 2008 graduate of Meadow Creek Christian School/Legacy Christian Academy and a 2012 graduate of Crown College, Coach Schultz brings a passion for soccer and a heart for the Lord that are the perfect fit for Legacy’s Boys Soccer program.

Coach Schultz was a highly skilled offensive player in both high school and college, earning Offensive Player of the Year 4 times, Conference Player of the Year twice and All-Conference and All-State honors. He continued to play competitive soccer after college, but quickly found a passion for coaching. His first high school coaching experience was at Southwest Christian High School, where he was an Assistant Boys Coach for three years. Most recently, he spent last fall down the road at Coon Rapids High School as an Assistant Girls Coach.

The hiring committee was impressed with Coach Schultz’s approach to coaching and the energy he has put into his coaching philosophy of “Total and Complete Effort” that centers on Christ as the ultimate role model. In his application Coach Schultz shared, “It is my absolute passion to coach with ferocity and to establish an expectation of excellence in everything we do on the soccer field because we are examples of Christ.”

Coach Schultz is excited for his family, wife Hannah and son Dominic, to experience the loving Christ-filled community at Legacy Christian Academy. Please join us in congratulating Coach Jon Schultz on his new role at his Alma Mater as Head Boys Soccer Coach!
