Legacy Christian Academy is committed to offering opportunities for athletes to connect and grow during the off-season. We believe that maintaining an active lifestyle will benefit each athlete throughout his or her lifetime.

Each sport camp will include a daily devotional element connecting the heart of the athlete with their physical performance.

Note: Enrollment at LCA is NOT REQUIRED to participate in our camp opportunities.

Summer 2019 Offerings

Girls Soccer Camp  “Vida de Futbol”

Grades Entering: 5-12

Dates:  Thursday Evenings, June 6–July 26 (skip July 4)

Location:  Upper Soccer Field

Session I:  6:00–7:00 pm (Grades 5-12)

Session II: 7:00–8:00 pm (Grades 9-12

Cost:  $55

Description: The first hour will focus on fundamentals for younger players with small group work led by Varsity players. The second hour will focus on Varsity returning players enhancement of skills. Please bring water bottle and soccer ball.

Strength & Conditioning

Grades Entering:  5-12 & Alumni

Dates: M, T, Th June 10-27 & July 8-25

Session I:  7:30–8:45 am (Extended)

Session II:  8:15–9:15 am (Express)

Cost: $120/session 

Location:  LCA Sports Center, Fields, and Weight Room

Description:  Participants will engage in plyometric, speed, jump, and strength training activities. All workouts will be adjusted to each participant’s entering ability level with the goal of improving overall athleticism and health. Participants can choose to register for one or multiple 3-week sessions. Advanced session is geared towards seasoned athletes and extends lifting by 15 minutes. Intro session is geared towards younger athletes and limits lifting to 30 minutes. Opportunity to be selected for Legacy’s Iron Award.

Volleyball Camp

Grades Entering:  3-12

Dates:  June 10-13 (M, T, W, TH)

Session I:  9:30-11:30 am (Entering Grades 3-5)

Session II:  12:00–2:00 pm (Entering Grades 6-8)

Session III: 2:00-4:00 pm (Entering Grades 9-12)

Location:  LCA Sports Center Gym

Cost:  $90/session


Session 1 – Athletes will have the opportunity to serve and pass every session.  In addition basic hitting, setting, and rotation will be taught.

Session 2 – Each day will focus on a different skill to gain more advanced knowledge in the areas of hitting, serving, passing, setting, and general court play.  

Session 3 – Beginning and advanced coaching in the areas of hitting, serving, passing, setting, and court play.

Basketball Youth Camps

Grades Entering:  2-7

Session I – GIRLS: June 17-20 (M, T, W, TH) *CANCELED*

Session II – BOYS: June 24-27 (M, T, W, TH)

Time:  9:00 am-12:00pm

Location: Sports Center Gym

Cost:  $95

Description:  Coach Bellefeuille will help each camper to grow in their basketball skill set and spiritual walk with Jesus Christ. Instructors are committed to providing quality instruction on ball handling, shooting technique, passing, and other basketball fundamentals. Campers will compete in a variety of individual and team competitions that will help to use the skills they have learned in a game setting. Instructors will incorporate spiritual principles to provide a fun and challenging environment.

Camp Directors: Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Nathan Bellefeuille. Varsity athletes will assist at each camp.

Boys Summer Soccer Club

Grades entering: 7-12

Dates: Mondays, June 3-July 30

Time: 6:00-7:30 pm

Location: Upper Soccer Field

Cost: No cost to returning and prospective LCA soccer players. No summer camp t-shirt.

Description:  Head Varsity Boys Soccer Coach, Jon Schultz, invites all Boys Soccer players entering grades 7-12 to join him this summer on Monday evenings! This is just a fun opportunity for the team to work together in the off-season and stay soccer fit.

Boys Basketball Summer Training

Grades Entering:  5-12

Dates: June 4 – July 30 (M, T, Th only)

Location:  LCA Sports Center Gym/Wt Room

Time: 7:00-9:00 am

Cost: No cost to returning and prospective LCA players. No summer camp t-shirt.

Description:  Individual skills workouts, speed training and strength workouts with LCA coaching staff.


Girls Basketball Open Gyms

Grades Entering:  5-12

Dates:  Tuesday & Thursday evenings beginning June 11

Location:  LCA Sports Center Gym

Time: 6:00pm

Cost: No cost to returning and prospective LCA players.No summer camp t-shirt.

Description:  These sessions are unstructured and based on activities of interest to the participants present each night. If no one comes on a given night, the supervisor may lock up by 6:30pm.

Volleyball Private Lessons

Grades Entering: Any (Boys and Girls)

Dates:  June 17-August 9 (F)

Location:   LCA Sports Center Gym

Cost:  Varies based on number of athletes – contact Justina Glovatsky for pricing.  

Description:  Group lessons are an opportunity to improve skills individually within a realistic court setting. Examples of activities:  Hitting against a block, spot hitting, spot serving, live serve receive/defense, setting off a pass, and much more.  Athletes will be grouped by position and or skill level.

Description: Dual/Individual lessons are similar to group lessons with more focus on individual skill and individual coaching. Dual lessons are grouped by skill level.

Summer Golf


All students interested in playing summer golf tournaments with the MGA, MN Junior PGA and other junior programs along with students that would like to set plans to improve at golf this summer, please contact Coach Brad Cole at 952-258-3528 or [email protected].

Summer Running Club


Grades Entering:  7-12

Dates:  Monday evenings, June 10-July 28 

Time:  7:00 pm

Location:  Varies

Cost:  $55

Description:  This once-a-week running club is a great training spot for anyone interested in increasing their distance endurance! Coach Dave Johnson will provide a location each week for the runners to meet with a designated route and estimated end time. The club may run together in a local 5K fun run.

Camp Policies

Registration is due prior to May 29. No refunds on cancellations will be issued. A welcome email confirming registration will be sent prior to the beginning of camp. The email will contain additional information about the camp such as curriculum, what to expect, where to meet on the first day, what to bring, what to wear, etc.

Please pay close attention to the end time of class and pick your student up promptly as we must prepare for the next class and day.
