Modeled after January term concepts in universities, Legacy has implemented Winterim to increase learning opportunities for students in the week between first and second semester. Winterim has become a valuable component of education at Legacy, and students leave the week excited and engaged as they head into the second semester.
We have over twenty classes including cooking, self-defense, physics force, gangster history, photography, and many more. Juniors and Seniors also have the opportunity to become interns in our community with KTIS, Keller William Homes, and more. Students will attend one session in the morning, and one in the afternoon with breaks for Legacy Period and lunch.
Our goal is that students will use Winterim week to explore new subjects and ideas they haven’t been exposed to before, and that it would be an amazing time of growth, connecting with teachers in new ways.
