We want all of our Lions to make it a LEGACY summer! Listed below are all of the camps and classes offered for Make It A Legacy Summer 2026!

Legacy Christian Academy is excited to invite the community to a wide array of summer learning experiences at our convenient Andover location. Our teachers and coaches look forward to sharing their God-given passions with students of all ages throughout these adventurous days of summer. Enrollment at Legacy is NOT required for participation in any of our summer opportunities, so invite your friends to multiply the fun!

Camp Disclaimers

Grades Listed: All grades listed are grades entering. For example, if a camp lists Grades 5-12 it is for students who will be entering grades 5-12.

Payment Note: The system requires a 5 minute delay between multiple credit card payments to help prevent credit card fraud. If you require an alternative payment option please contact Dan Skog at [email protected] for additional registration options.

Discount Note: If your camp director has offered you a discounted or waived fee please work with them prior to submitting your registration as any discounts need to be manually applied in advance.

Refunds on cancellations are not guaranteed across all camps. Registrants can expect to receive an automated email confirmation regarding registration as well as a welcome email prior to the beginning of the camp. The email will contain additional information about the camp such as curriculum, what to expect, where to meet on the first day, what to bring, what to wear, etc.

Please pay close attention to the end time of camp and pick your student(s) up promptly.

Should the camp not reach the minimum number of participants, a notice will be sent a minimum of 1 week prior to the camp and a full refund will be issued.

Academic/Arts Camps

Clay Camp

June 2-5 & 10 | Grades Entering 5-12

Session 1: 9:00–11:30 am

Session 2: 1:00–3:30 pm

Cost: $200/Session (covers clay, glazes, 1-on-1 instruction)

Description: Exploration of hand building and wheel throwing techniques. Introduction to the use of various clay tools and glazing will be taught. A two-hour glazing session will take place the following Monday, after dry time and firing. All ability levels are welcome! Due to the materials that must be purchased in advance, no refunds will be issued after the registration deadline. High school students who have passed Intro to Ceramics or PSEO Ceramics may treat Clay Camp as ‘open studio’ time. Contact Andy Anderson for details.

Art After Hours - Summer Edition

Description:

Art After Hours: Summer Edition is an after-school art camp led by Legacy’s K–8 art teacher, Ms. Buchelt. Students will explore a different medium each day—such as painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, and mixed media—while creating both two- and three-dimensional projects. Campers can expect to bring home a finished piece of artwork daily.

Morning and afternoon sessions are available for scheduling flexibility, and both weeks of camp feature the same projects. Each session includes guided instruction, creative work time, a snack break, and cleanup. Snacks are provided.

Robotics

June 8-11 | Mon–Thurs

Cost: $180

Description: Robotics manufacturing camp.  Robotic camp combines fun with the opportunity for students to work in teams to build small projects by programming robots challenges, electrical, and mechanical learning.  Incorporate competitive challenges where kids build projects to perform a task with specific actions as seen in today’s industry. Students will be visiting manufacturing facilities and seeing technologies that are used to manufacture products we use everyday.  Legacy’s current robotic team will be there to demonstrate their current competition robot and help lead the activities. Students will take home one of their projects at the end of camp to continue learning when the camp is over. Lunch will be provided and a camp T-Shirt. Please provide shirt size when registering.

Playground Palooza

Description: An introduction to playground games and sports for the young and restless! Campers will learn the basics of games such as 4-Square, Basketball, Jacks, and Gaga Ball just to name a few. Make it a full day by combining with Young Explorers Reading Camp!

Young Explorers Reading Camp

Description: Spend a fun-filled week with other budding readers exploring and reading about the desert habitat and other exciting places! All snacks and materials are provided and based on that day’s reading theme. Bring a lunch and make it a full day by combining w/ Playground Palooza!

Real-World Math Camp

June 8-11 | Entering Grades 2-5

Session I: 9:00–11:30

Description:
Exploring Real-Life Math Through Games, Creativity & Hands-On Fun!

Get ready for four exciting days of hands-on fun where math comes to life! Students will explore real-world math through engaging card and board games, creative challenges, and interactive projects. Campers will practice using money, strengthen reasoning and number sense through strategy games, and explore measurement and fractions through “cooking” and slime.

Along the way, students will build confidence, teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving skills in a supportive and energetic environment. This camp blends exploration, creativity, and practical life skills, so kids don’t just learn math, they experience it!

Painting Camp

Session I:  9:00-11:30 am

Cost: $200/session  (covers painting materials, 1-on-1 instruction) 

Description: Grow as a painter during this one-week painting camp! Follow Mr. Anderson through the exploration of new painting styles and techniques and go home with a finished painting each day. Don’t worry about your skill or grade level, Mr. Anderson will adjust to make your experience an awesome and successful one. High school students who have passed the ‘Painting’ class may opt to treat Painting Camp as ‘open studio’ time with access to materials and teaching to support your aspirations! Drawing Camp

June 8-12 (M, T, W, Th, F) | Grades Entering 5-12

Session I:  1:00-3:30 pm

Cost: $200/session  (covers drawing materials, 1-on-1 instruction) 

Description: This camp is designed to grow your drawing skills no matter what drawing level you are at! Beginner? Advanced? All are welcome. Mr. Anderson will teach key drawing skills, tips and tricks as well as a variety of drawing techniques and materials, like graphite pencil, colored pencils, ink, charcoal and pastels. A different artwork will be created and taken home each day. High school students who have passed the ‘2D Design’ class may opt to treat Drawing Camp as ‘open studio’ time with access to materials and teaching to support your aspirations! Improvisation Workshop

Teamwork, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving via games, scene work, character creation and other improvisation skill-building for students of all performance experience levels!

Explore Creation: Sun, Moon, Stars

Dates: June 15–18
Cost: $150
Max Enrollment: 25 per session

Session 1: Grades Entering: 1–2 | Time: 9:30–11:30 a.m.

Session 2: Grades Entering: 3–5 | Time: 12:00–2:00 p.m.

Description: Come explore God’s beautiful creation through the wonders of space. Each day includes reading, writing, nature walks, and hands-on science experiments focused on light, shadows, moon craters, moon phases, and constellations. Students will experiment with shadows outdoors, design constellations, and create moon dough and their own planet to take home.

Throughout the week, campers will grow in awe of our amazing Creator while learning more about His universe.

Make it a full day! Pair this camp with Miss Sheehan’s Detectives Club and pack a lunch.

Mystery Solvers: Crack Codes. Uncover Clues. Solve Puzzles.

Campers will step into the role of detective as they learn observation skills, make inferences, and uncover hidden details. Throughout the week, students will decode secret messages, experiment with invisible ink, dust for fingerprints, and analyze clues. They’ll even complete a “laser” obstacle course as part of their detective training.

The week culminates with students working together to solve exciting mystery cases filled with riddles and adventure. Along the way, they’ll discover how God uniquely created each of us—even down to our fingerprints.

A daily snack and small detective prize are included.

Make it a full day! This camp pairs well with Sun, Moon, and Stars.

God Did That: Experiencing God's World Through Science

June 22-25 | 12:30–2:00 pm | Grades Entering K-1

Cost: $110

Description: God Did That: STEM Camp combines faith and hands-on learning! Campers build slingshots (David & Goliath), create model arks and flood simulations (Noah), make solar ovens (Creation), learn first aid (Jesus heals), and explore food preservation (Jesus feeds 4,000). It is a hand on way to connect Bible stories with STEM! Bring a lunch and make it a whole day with Mrs. Ries’ Summer Fun Camp!

Summer Fun Camp

June 22-25 | 10:00 am–11:50 am Grades Entering K–1

Cost: $110 (This includes all supplies needed and a snack each day)

Description: Come for a week filled with fun summer camp activities! Each day will consist of a large motor activity as well as a craft/exploration! Some of these summer camp activities include making a bird feeder, making and playing in giant bubbles, tie-dye, and ending with a water day on the 25th! This is a great time for your kids to connect with their peers and to add something fun to their summer! Bring a lunch and make it a full day by combining with Mrs. Ries and Mrs. Nelson’s God did that: STEM Camp!

Little Lions Sports Camp

Description: 

Little Lions Sports Camp is a fun, active introduction to sports, teamwork, and character for incoming kindergarten and first-grade students. Each day, campers will explore a new sport—soccer, kickball, flag football, and track & field—through age-appropriate games, skill stations, and team challenges designed just for young learners. Throughout the week, students will practice our school-wide ROAR values on and off the field. Campers will learn what it looks like to listen to instructions, encourage teammates, take responsibility for their actions, and play with integrity, all while staying active in a joyful, low-pressure environment. At Little Lions Sports Camp, we ROAR for God’s glory as we grow strong bodies, kind hearts, and confident athletes.

Jump aboard explorers! It’s time to explore the African Savanna. Grab your binoculars and safari hats and let’s go research different animals! Campers will learn about animals in the jungle and on the savanna, make their own animal crafts to go along with each animal they see and build a journal from each day’s adventure!  Get ready for a wild ride!

Krista Bellefeuille played four years as a setter at the University of Northwestern where she earned awards as a two-time All American, UMAC MVP, Eagle Award and NCAA Women of the Year Nominee. Krista worked with youth volleyball players as part of the Midwest Volleyball coaching staff for three years and is excited to work with Legacy youth to teach them the fundamentals of the sport.

Backyard Baseball

Cost: $85

Description: Session 1 is open to students entering grades 1–5 who are interested in baseball. This session focuses on skill development through supervised drills and games, with a strong emphasis on learning and having fun. LCA High School Baseball coaches and players lead instruction and oversee activities each day.

Session 2 is open to students entering grades 5–8 who want to sharpen their baseball skills over the summer. This session emphasizes repetition, skill refinement, and development tailored to each player’s abilities. LCA High School Baseball coaches and players provide daily instruction, drills, and game play.

Both Session 1 and 2 will provide baseballs, batting tees, and other baseball instructional/training equipment. Students should bring a baseball glove, and a bat if they want to.

Youth Softball Camp

Description: Kaiya Boldt played four years as a Division 1 pitcher and graduated University of Tulsa. The goal of this camp is for the girls to grow in their softball fundamentals and have a bunch of fun. No previous softball experience needed.
