WHEN:  The Livestream will go live at 6:00 p.m.  You will click on the link and there will be a youtube link RIGHT HERE!

TIME:  Livestream will be live from 6:00 – 7:30.  You can join the fun live at 7:00 p.m. outside door 6 (Sports Center Entrance).  Mr. Nydam and Mr. Mulvihill will have a bucket where kids can bring encouraging notes or jokes to send up to us.  We may have a few prizes to send down to students as well.

I was asked the question:  “Mr. Nydam, do you really sleep up there all night?”   The answer is YES!!!  We will get up and wave to all the students during drop-off tomorrow morning.  We do stay up there all evening.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?   We have a number of fun classic games that we will play competitively versus one another.  The loser of each game will have a special punishment!

We also have a dad joke contest and an oreo rolling game that some students that were selected in chapel this morning will help us with tonight.

WHY DO YOU DO THESE THINGS?  Overall the goal is to challenge the students to read, but more importantly to build community at Legacy.  We hope you can join us live and laugh a little at our expense.  WE LOVE LEGACY AND WE ARE THANKFUL FOR YOU!!!

What Else Happened This Month?

In addition to all of the reading, the month was filled with special activities and excitement for the camping themed weeks!

“Where Do You Camp Out and Read” Poster – Students completed a family poster of where they like to read. These were all featured on the main staircase for the whole month of February!

P.O.W.E.R. Time – Each Thursday, students were given the opportunity to read God’s Word. Kindergarten students received their own pocket Bibles for the month as well.

Campfire Story Time Videos – Throughout the month, Elementary classes watched videos of masked woodland creatures reading a special book. Students were then given three clues to guess who the masked creature was before the reveal. Our teachers and staff loved sharing a favorite book with our students!

Pop Open a Good Book – Who doesn’t love a bag of popcorn and a good book? This was a special day for all of our classes!

Dress Up Days – Students wore pajamas and read by flashlight, and our last dress up day is on Thursday! Student get to dress up as their favorite book character!
